Welcome to Water Intake Pro, a free, science-based tool that helps you find out exactly how much water your body needs each day. Staying properly hydrated affects everything from your energy and focus to your skin, digestion, and long-term health, yet most people either drink too little or rely on the outdated “8 glasses a day” rule. We built this site to give you a clearer, more personalized answer.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to make daily hydration easy to understand and act on. Instead of generic advice, our calculator considers your age, gender, body weight, height, activity level, and climate to estimate a daily water target that actually fits your lifestyle. We pair that tool with clear, well-researched guides so you not only know how much to drink, but also why it matters and when to drink it during the day.
How Our Calculator Works
The Water Intake Calculator uses a transparent, evidence-based formula. It starts with a baseline derived from your body weight (roughly 30 to 35 ml per kilogram, or about 0.5 oz per pound) and then adjusts for activity and climate. Our reference figures are anchored to guidance from trusted health authorities, including the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM), which recommend an adequate daily fluid intake of about 3.7 litres for men and 2.7 litres for women from all sources, including food.
We show your result in multiple units, including ounces, cups, millilitres, and litres, and even provide a suggested drinking schedule, so the guidance is genuinely practical.
